hello me again

hello me again

hello, me again… who again? gr8 question me. again, hello if you don’t know who I am. why would you, I’m still figuring that out myself. but since I’m asking and you’re reading I might as well tell you. I’m an artist in short. In long I’m a painter, sculptor, videographer, ceramicist, woodworker, designer, runner, photographer, carpenter, builder, influencer, sketcher, up cycler, scavenger, observer, muralist, maker, dancer, teacher, portrait painter and lover of all things creative.

if I were to sum up some ethos around my process of creation it would be:

I create from a place of play and passion in the handmade through a lens of honesty & humour. There’s a paradox in the idea that the closer you get to your sense of self through your art the more relatable it becomes to the masses. to create in a honest sense touches on that shared centre of how is any of this even possible!? I believe we are the universe experiencing itself and I am a spec of paint on the handkerchief of the modern art mouse in the pocket of the giant of art history. Infinitely small yet unfathomably large. To create is to add words, sentences sometime chapters into that endless eulogy of ART, for they say art is always dying. I agree in the sense that creativity is never still. The only constant is change and thus art is constantly resurrecting itself. It’s a privilege to live a life in art and I hope when I pass on to the next I am well and truly used up, my hands worn from building not breaking. My body aching from dancing toward others and my mind full of the senses of a life lived to its fullest.
